A Bit of Scotland in Detroit

A Bit of Scotland in Detr…

For generations, St. Andrew's Society of Detroit has been "dedicated to preserving Scottish heritage through its arts, customs, dress, literature and national games." Its oldest and most popular custom lies in the annual Highland Games. Immersed in Scottish culture and heritage, attendees spend the day taking in traditional musical presentations, athletic competitions, piping and dance. And the food is not to be missed!

This weekend will mark the 169th Annual Highland Games, beginning with a kick-off party/concert Friday night. As a member of the Lindsay clan, our own Lee Flaherty will be at Greenmead Historical Park to participate in this year's festivities!
