Heart the Art was created with a vision of immersing public arts installations and experiences within Farmington’s downtown district. Last year’s inaugural event allowed local art enthusiasts an opportunity to provide feedback on upcoming projects. The occasion resulted in two new stunning murals being painted over the summer of 2020 (on the sides of Sunflour Bakehaus and The Vines Flower Garden Shop), bringing more beauty and vibrancy to the area.
Like most things, Heart the Art needed to find a different way this year. The Farmington Downtown Development Authority chose to give the event a new look in the form of a month-long Hot Cocoa Crawl.
Each Thursday night in February, art lovers have masked up for a stroll through Farmington’s new social district, The Syndicate. Visitors have been able to grab a beverage and enjoy some shopping and sipping along Grand River. Proceeds from participating businesses will go to support the next public art project for Downtown Farmington. The evenings have also included live music sponsored by our friend and local financial advisor, Steve Chang.
Tonight will be the final evening of Heart the Art. More information can be found on the event page.
