Hundreds of business and political leaders gathered at the Ford Motor Company Conference & Event Center last month for the annual Western Wayne Business Leadership Banquet. The Conference of Western Wayne and the local Chambers of Commerce coordinate this evening of networking and learning in order to “connect people to initiatives and opportunities across metro Detroit.” This year’s event featured keynote speaker Tom Wilson, CEO/President of Olympia Entertainment, who discussed the continuing development of “The District Detroit,” the downtown region that includes the new Little Caesar’s Arena, Ford Field, Comerica Park and the surrounding area.
