Soon, there will be a chill in the air and the leaves will begin to fall. As the season turns, downtown Farmington will welcome back the Harvest Moon Celebration!
When last year’s event was canceled, the Downtown Development Authority decided to focus instead on the volunteers who support the annual celebration. The DDA introduced its 21 Days of Volunteer Appreciation event, highlighting the community members who have helped every year to bring the Harvest Moon Celebration to life.
The annual event is scheduled to run from September 16 through September 18. The Sundquist Pavilion in Riley Park will be filled with craft beer and wine, music, and food.
A Crispelli’s food truck can be found onsite Thursday evening along with jazz ensemble, Da’Ja. Friday night will showcase downtown bars and eateries for the Taste of Downtown Farmington and will include a concert by Northville Form. The Harvest Moon Celebration begins early on Saturday with the Market of the Harvest Moon by our friends at the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market. The Hubbs Grub BBQ Truck will arrive Saturday evening accompanied by music from Mainstreet Soul.
Tickets are available in advance for $8 both online and at Meadows Fine Wine & Liquor, Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market, Merle Norman, The Vines, Farmington Brewing Co., and Farmington City Hall. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $10.
