Festival Fun!

My husband and I moved to Highland Township, just north of Milford, back in 2000 and ever since, we have enjoyed the open space, wildlife and close Huron Valley community that our little town offers. One of our favorite things about the community is the annual “Milford Memories” summer festival which will take place in and around the downtown Milford area this weekend, August 11-13. The event is truly a community effort, with most every family and business in the area getting involved in some capacity. If you are looking for something fun for the whole family this weekend, I encourage you to check it out!

The main attraction is the over 300 artists who will line the streets of downtown Milford with their beautiful handmade arts and crafts, but the event also includes a wide variety of other events and attractions as well. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the 3-on-3 basketball tournament, youth sand volleyball clinic, kids’ fishing tournament, rock wall climbing, and 1 mile/5k/10k run. Those who like to put on their dancing shoes will enjoy the live entertainment all weekend long in Central Park. And for the adventurous, “The Cold Butt Euchre Tournament” never disappoints. To keep you fueled for the weekend, the many outstanding restaurants in Milford all host in-house and alfresco dining right in the heart of the action.

Check out the Milford Memories website to see the full schedule of events, artists, and musicians. I’ll keep an eye out for you!
