Good Neighbors

Since 1989, Neighborhood House has been supporting families in the Farmington and Farmington Hills area with rent and utility assistance, access to its food pantry, and referrals to other local resources. The nonprofit is an affiliate of the Farmington Area Goodfellows and was developed to step in during the months when the Goodfellows’ warehouse is closed.

A large portion of fundraising for Neighborhood House comes from its annual gala, which also includes the announcement of the Dick Tupper Community Service Award honoree. Once again this year, the gala followed an open house format at the beautiful Longacre House near Heritage Park.

Despite the challenges of the last few years, Neighborhood House has continued its work to help our community. The office remains open by appointment only for anyone who is a resident of Farmington or Farmington Hills, or has a child in Farmington Public Schools, and is in need of assistance with rent, utilities, or food.

Wright Beamer was honored to sponsor last week's Neighborhood House Gala. Dirk and Jessica Beamer were in attendance to celebrate, Teresa Barrick, who is this year’s Dick Tupper Community Service Award recipient.

We encourage anyone who needs assistance to reach out to learn more about the resources available. If you are able, please consider how you can support Neighborhood House as it continues to help our neighbors.
