Although much normal activity has slowed or stopped in response to COVID-19, there are many still working behind the scenes to support our community. Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families is one organization trying to make a difference during these challenging times.
In recent months, Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families (FFHFYF) went above and beyond to lift up those who need it most. Twice a year, FFHFYF awards funds to local programs that work to improve the Farmington and Farmington Hills neighborhoods. In addition to that, FFHFYF issues emergency grants for organizations in the area who have seen an “increased demand on their resources as a result of the pandemic.” This past fall, 10 local nonprofits received a total of $15,000 in grant funds. One grant recipient provided books and blankets to lower income Farmington Public Schools students during the holidays.
We take seriously our responsibility to our community and were pleased to support Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families last year as it assisted those 10 organizations. The work of FFHFYF continues with another round of grants this spring. Visit the FFHFYF website to learn more about the grant programs or to find out how you can help.
