For years, C.A.R.E.S. (Community. Action. Resources. Empowerment. Services.) has been providing assistance for the Farmington Hills community. Its belief is that every person should have access to basic resources, such as food, shelter and education. The aid provided by C.A.R.E.S. comes in the shape of food and clothing pantries, job education and training, as well as other community and county support services.

On April 19th, the Freedom Gateway Center will host a movie gala fundraiser at the Farmington Civic Theater benefiting C.A.R.E.S. The evening will include refreshments, a red carpet photo-op with a professional photographer and a showing of the 2017 movie Same Kind of Different as Me.
