CARES of Farmington Hills “offer[s] comprehensive support services for individuals and their families in and around the Farmington Hills area that are in need or have limited access to everyday necessities due to insufficient financial resources or family instability.” To that end, the nonprofit gives support with food, clothing, and job education and training. CARES also provides access to community and county support services.

As reported in the Farmington Voice, CARES has partnered with Busch’s Fresh Food Market to open a new market geared towards helping local families get the most out of their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Bridge card dollars. Busch’s CARES Market operates inside the main building of the CARES campus on Shiawassee with deals on dairy products, canned goods, and fresh fruits and vegetables.

The new market will also help support the food pantry run by CARES. All proceeds from the market will fund the pantry. Food items that do not move quickly from store shelves will be donated.

Wright Beamer has long been involved with Farmington & Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families, which provides financial support for local nonprofits, including CARES of Farmington Hills. Especially during these uncertain times, we are proud of CARES for finding ways to support those in our community who need it most.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Busch’s CARES Market (which would allow for expanded hours), contact the market manager, Sharon Brandal, at sbrandal@caresfh.org.
