As the weather warms and the sun comes out again, many of us are taking life back outside, which was recently the case for Tim and Lee Flaherty!

A couple of weeks ago, the Flahertys accompanied Lee’s brother and sister-in-law to explore downtown Detroit and the Riverwalk. The weather was gorgeous, and there were lots of families and people of all ages enjoying the city and the riverfront. The group was able to take in the beauty of Atwater Beach and the beach at Campus Martius Park. There was plenty of sunshine as they marveled at all the bicyclists sweeping down the DeQuindre Cut. Of particular interest to the foursome were all the improvements along the Riverwalk.

According to the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy website, this area sees 3.5 million visitors each year and was recently selected by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards as the Best Riverwalk in the country. With the ongoing plans to improve the riverfront, it will only become a more beautiful place to enjoy!
