Holly Days!

The holiday season is here, and Downtown Farmington is ready to sparkle!

Holly Days returns this Saturday, offering a full day of festive fun for the whole community. It all begins at 10:00 am at a festive version of the Farmington Farmers Market, where you can shop for wreaths and other greenery supplied by local farmers and browse one-of-a-kind gifts crafted by talented artisans.

Families can hop aboard the Holly Express Train Ride at Riley Park, capture a photo with Santa at Detroit Garage Farmington, or gather for stories and a special visit with Mrs. Claus at the Farmington Community Library, making the morning and afternoon truly magical.

As the day turns to evening, the excitement moves to Grand River Avenue for the Light Up the Grand Parade at 5:30 pm, followed by the Tree Lighting Celebration at the Governor Warner Mansion. Enjoy live music, carolers, sparkling holiday lights, and don’t forget to drop your letter in Santa’s mailbox!

For those looking to keep the festivities going, Downtown Farmington is also hosting the Ugly Sweater Crawl. During the afternoon, sip cocoa, snack on cookies, shop for seasonal gifts, and create festive crafts at participating businesses. Later in the evening, adults can join a fun crawl through local bars, donning their quirkiest holiday sweaters for themed drinks and seasonal specials.

Admission to Holly Days is free, and parking is available in all downtown public lots. The Ugly Sweater Crawl hours vary by business, so check with participating locations to plan your day.

From family-friendly fun to cozy, quirky festivities, Downtown Farmington has something for everyone this holiday season. Don your holiday best and celebrate with your community. It’s a day you won’t want to miss!
