In every community, there are organizations quietly doing the work that makes life better for families, for kids, and for neighbors who may never even know their names.
In Farmington and Farmington Hills, many of those efforts are supported by the Farmington–Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families (FFHFYF). Since its beginnings in the mid-1990s, FFHFYF has grown into a broad resource that helps identify community needs, invest in meaningful programs, and support the organizations doing the work on the ground.
The FFHFYF mission is simple in concept but powerful in practice: anticipate where support is needed, respond thoughtfully, and continue building resources that benefit youth and families across the community.
That impact is visible in the organizations FFHFYF supports. In 2025 alone, grant recipients included groups like the Farmington Community Library, Farmington Farmers Market, and Neighborhood House, alongside organizations such as the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan, Operation Common Good, and the Farmington Youth Assistance program. Each one represents a different piece of what makes a community strong, from access to resources and education to connection and care.
The Farmington–Farmington Hills Foundation for Youth & Families next grant deadline is approaching on April 15.
If your organization is considering applying, now is a good time to visit FFHFYF’s website and take that next step. Because the work happening behind the scenes, often without recognition, is exactly what keeps a community moving forward.
