This weekend will see the return of a summertime favorite: the Greater Farmington Founders Festival! Celebrating its 57^th year, the Founders Festival is back after being canceled last year.

The event will kick off tonight in downtown Farmington with a soft opening at the beer tent at Grand River and Farmington roads and will include live music after 6:00 p.m. The beer tent continues through the activity-packed weekend. Festivities on Friday and Saturday will include a fido fest in Riley Park, a family fun zone, sand art, and food court. The 5k Color Run and parade will be Saturday morning’s highlights.

Our friends at the Farmington Farmers Market will keep regular hours on Saturday but have relocated for one day to make room for the festival. You can find your favorite market at Farmington High School. Look for vendor tents in the parking lot near the tennis courts.
