CARES of Farmington Hills began because three community leaders couldn’t bear to let the local food pantry close, cutting off food security for those in need. CARES quickly grew into a true “Campus of Hope” providing for Farmington area individuals through its food pantry and the Busch’s CARES Market. It also offers access to community and county support services and other programs for wellness through its service center, Colette’s Place.
The Grateful Plateful Campaign is a monthslong annual fundraiser that raises crucial funds for CARES to support the community throughout the holidays. This year’s initiative kicks off with a Grateful Plateful Dinner on Thursday, October 17 at the Huron River Hunting & Fishing Club. It promises an evening of delicious food and community spirit.
By attending next week’s dinner or contributing to the campaign, you’re helping CARES continue its mission of providing vital services like food assistance, educational programs, and other resources to help families thrive. The funds raised will directly impact the lives of countless families in our area, making it an invaluable way to give back throughout the holiday season.
At Wright Beamer, we know the importance of a strong community. We encourage everyone to consider participating in this event or donating. Tickets for the Grateful Plateful Dinner can be purchased online. More information about supporting the ongoing fundraising campaign is also available on the CARES website.
