A Summertime Tradition

A Summertime Tradition

If it’s summertime, then it’s time for the annual Founders Festival! Celebrating its 55th year, the Founders Festival is set to take place next weekend. And although the location might seem new, Farmington’s Shiawassee Park has occasionally been home to some of the festival’s activities.

The event will kick off July 18 with a soft opening at the beer tent, including live music by Wisteria & Atomic Radio. Festivities will officially begin next Friday and include a children’s carnival, pig roast, hot air balloons and fireworks. The 5k Color Run and Animated Adventures Parade will be Saturday morning’s highlights.

The Founders Festival is a Wright Beamer favorite having long been involved with the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce, which produces the event each year. So, come out for some great summertime fun! Maybe we’ll see you there!
