All-American Market

A Saturday morning at the Farmington Farmers Market is usually filled with fresh produce, local makers, and familiar faces. This weekend, the market will add something a little special: a chance to step back in time and celebrate 250 years of American history.

As a proud sponsor of the market season, Wright Beamer is excited to support this special America 250 celebration on Saturday, bringing the community together to reflect on the history and values that continue to shape our country.

The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with a special ceremony featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence, patriotic songs from the Harmony Town Chorus, and a community recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a community signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Throughout the morning, history will come to life in Riley Park. The Virginia 10th, 1776 soldier re-enactors will share artifacts and stories from the Revolutionary War era, while President Abraham Lincoln makes a special appearance from 9:30–11:30 a.m., including a presentation about the Declaration of Independence and its meaning.

Visitors can enjoy live music from the Peace Jubilee Civil War Brass Band and Billy Brandt, play old-time games, and snap a photo in front of the Declaration of Independence display at the market.

The celebration also offers a chance to give back. Fresh Thyme Market will be serving hot dogs on the grill, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting CARES of Farmington Hills.

And, of course, the Farmington Farmers Market’s favorite farmers, specialty food makers, and artisans will be there to welcome shoppers.

Join us this Saturday as our community comes together to celebrate history, connection, and the people who make Farmington a special place!
