The first official Optimist Club was founded in 1911 with a commitment to optimism and supporting the needs of their neighbors, especially the youth in the community. Today, Optimist International is made up of 2,500 local clubs throughout the United States and Canada.

This week, amateur golfers of every skill level gathered at the Farmington Hills Golf Club to support the Farmington/Farmington Hills Optimist Club for the annual Orrie Donley Golf Outing. The event began with a continental breakfast and shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Attendees were treated to 18 holes on a championship course, as well as a variety of contests, raffles, and prizes. The day closed with cocktails and an early dinner at the clubhouse.

This event serves as the largest fundraising event for the Farmington/Farmington Hills Optimist Club. Proceeds help the club provide financial support to local youth programs and events. Wright Beamer was proud to again sponsor and participate in this great event, and we look forward to seeing the good that the Optimist Club will continue to do for our community.
