Curtains Up!

The Farmington Players are raising the curtain tomorrow night on the first show of the 2025–2026 season, and it’s a powerful one: Clybourne Park.

Winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Play, Clybourne Park is equal parts sharp, funny, and thought-provoking. The play takes us first to 1959, when a grieving couple unknowingly sells their home to the neighborhood’s first Black family. Then, 50 years later, the same house becomes the center of tension again—this time when a young white couple moves into what is now a predominantly Black neighborhood. With both stories unfolding on the same stage, the play shines a spotlight on how issues of race, community, and change continue to shape our lives.

At Wright Beamer, we’re proud to support the Farmington Players for another season. Their work reminds us how theater can entertain while also sparking important conversations.

Clybourne Park opens tomorrow and runs through October 5 at the Farmington Players Barn Theater. You can find tickets and details online.
