Know Before You Go: Elect…

With Election Day once again on the horizon, Michigan voters face important choices that will help to shape the direction of the State and the country. While the gubernatorial and Senate races are two of the highest profile statewide contests, Election Day also features lesser known – but critically important – races, including Michigan Court of Appeals and Supreme Court judgeship contests. Two State referendum proposals – both related to the future of wolf hunting in Michigan – will also be at issue on November 4th.

Several Michigan municipalities offer sample ballots which can be accessed online in advance of the election. The following is a list of links to a few local websites offering such ballots:

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. on Election Day. According to the State of Michigan’s voter guide, all qualified voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be permitted to cast their ballots. Happy voting!
