Since 2018, One Tree Planted has celebrated its own “Plant a Tree Day.” The initiative was created as a day of action meant to inspire tree enthusiasts everywhere to plant trees and take other actions for the betterment of the environment.

Plant a Tree Day 2022 included 104 events in 29 different countries. With the help of thousands of volunteers, One Tree Planted coordinated the planting of 39,558 trees. It also propagated 1,980 seeds and distributed 7,450 trees to local communities.

This year, One Tree Planted is celebrating Plant a Tree Day by matching all donations between September 28 and October 28. These efforts will double the number of trees planted and will support reforestation projects where they are most needed.
