Opening Day

Opening Day

If there is one thing that announces the coming of summer, it is most definitely opening day of the Farmington Farmers Market. And this Saturday, the bell will ring again at the Walter E. Sundquist Pavilion and Riley Park in downtown Farmington, and the market will be back with Farmington’s favorite Saturday tradition.

Mother’s Day weekend will mark the beginning of the Farmington Farmers Market’s 29th season. This year’s opening day promises to be lively with a performance by the Farmington High drumline and Groves-Walker American Legion Post Color Guard kicking off the event and live music beginning later in the morning. The National Anthem will be sung by Chris Ayotte, afternoon drive-time host for WMUZ 103.5 FM The Light, and emcee Paul Gross, WDIV Local 4 meteorologist, will introduce a number of exciting guests. Attendees will find vegetable starts, herbs, micro greens, porch pots, baskets, bedding plants, and artisan wares to begin the season.

Wright Beamer is looking forward to sponsoring and supporting the market for another season. More information about the Farmington Farmers Market and vendors can be found online. We hope to see you out on a Saturday at the market!
