The Women Who Make Us

Women’s History Month started as a day. Just one day. International Women’s Day began to commemorate a meeting of social activists and suffragists in Manhattan in 1909. By 1977, it became a week to honor the many accomplishments of women in our culture and society. Finally, in 1987, the entire month of March was declared Women’s History Month, a time to remember trailblazing women across disciplines.

Like other professions, change came slowly to the legal field. But today, more women enroll in law schools in America than men. Wright Beamer has benefited from this trend, and we are fortunate to have four talented women attorneys on our team. Each excels in her area of practice and takes pride in her work. Outside of the office, they care for families and friends and support a variety of worthy causes. These women spend their time building up others, including the women who come after them.

Lee, Kathy, Heather, and Emily – thank you for being leaders in the law and leaders at Wright Beamer. We are lucky to have you!
