If you know Wright Beamer, you probably know our office manager, Deb Yanke. She is the essential glue that keeps everything moving, from payroll to software updates and office supplies. What you may not know about Deb is that she is also an avid horse lover.

When not in the office ensuring that Wright Beamer runs like a well-oiled machine, Deb also serves as one of the coaches for the South Lyon High School Equestrian Team. They compete as part of the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (MIHA) program which oversees several hundred teams throughout the state. The high school meets are held over several weekends with events as diverse as showmanship, hunt seat, saddle seat, jumping, western, bareback, trail and speed. The District Champion and Reserve Champion go on to compete at a regional level, and the two top scoring teams from each region go on to compete at the state meet, held in Midland in October.

All of the hard work paid off: the South Lyon High School equestrian team was the Division A Regional Champion and will advance to the State Championship in Midland next week! Congratulations to the team and coaches! We are sending our best wishes for the State Championship!
