This year, the Elkhart County Fair once again dazzled the small town of Goshen, Indiana, drawing almost 200,000 visitors for a whirlwind of exhibits, concerts, and irresistible fair food. Amidst the celebration, Heather Brenneman Miles and her family embody the spirit of 4-H.
Heather's roots run deep in agriculture, having grown up on a bustling dairy farm that's now a thriving hub of custom harvesting and cattle raising. Her family's commitment to 4-H is a testament to their hard work and passion. They don't just participate—they excel. From showing steers, pigs, and rabbits to mastering tractor driving and maintenance, Heather's nieces and nephews embrace the fair's challenges with enthusiasm. This year, niece Catie's steer won Reserve Lightweight Champion, and nephew Cole participated in the 18,000 pound class tractor pull at the age of 16, coming in first over others who’ve been doing it for decades!
Each year, Heather Brenneman Miles and her family pour their hearts into the fair, showcasing the best of what 4-H stands for: agriculture, youth development, and family-friendly fun. A job well done to the entire Brenneman family for their commitment and the joy they bring to the Elkhart County Fair every year!
