Up the Garden Path

More than 40 years ago, the Friends for the Development of Greenmead was established to raise funds for the development and restoration of Greenmead, Livonia’s lovely historical village and cultural center. Most recently, the Friends donated funds towards the restoration of the Greenhouse and the Newburg Church’s east stained-glass windows.

Every summer, the Friends for the Development of Greenmead hosts a garden walk in Livonia. For one Saturday afternoon, five local private homes and the Simmons Hill House on the grounds of Greenmead are open to the public. Proceeds from the event help in the continued improvement of Greenmead Historical Park.

This Saturday will mark the 31st Livonia Garden Walk. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Greenmead office and Bennett Civic Center Library in advance. They will also be available the day of the event.

Wright Beamer looks forward to sponsoring this beautiful event and supporting the work of the Friends for the Development of Greenmead!
